KSFO new gate numbers

Post by PVazquez » Fri Nov 15, 2019 8:33 pm

Hello,

I noticed that gate numbers at F and G terminals have changed. Is Flightbeam planning an update?

Thank you,
Pablo Vazquez

As we have mentioned before in other forum post we will update SFO when the time is right. There are several other changes going on at SFO that we want to include in our next update.

Not a problem buddy. There are several other post related to SFO and updates. Not specifically the Gate assignments but an update in general which would include the gates. Mir has mentioned that there is no point to update the Gates since the new terminal changes Gates completely. It will get done in time my friend, we just need things to progress a bit more but trust me when I say SFO will get the love it always gets from us.

Why did the real world KSFO change the gate numbers anyway ?

There was an internal memo that noted it would make things much easier for logistics especially with the new Terminal 1 and all of its new gates

Mir,

I'm another that's longing for that update when it's ready, flying online with Pilotedge as I do, it can tend to be a bit awkward explaining where I am at the old B Concourse.

Thank you so much for doing it.

Navigraph removed their one map with combination of new gates and old gate numbers.. Do you guys have a copy of the Gate numbers as they stand at current KSFO in your scenery ??

As we have mentioned in this topic, the scenery will be updated in time. We have currently made no changes since our last update.

Unfortunately I bought this scenery a short time ago and I thought it would be updated, , if I knew before... :(

I'm not sure what gave you the impression that it would be updated? We stated above that it would be updated in time and when we did it would be announced. We currently have TONS of projects going on for MSFS as well as production on NZAA. SFO Gate numbering is definitely on our list as is the terminal updates etc but it is not at the top of the list just yet.

Hang in there and it will be updated in time.

"I'm not sure what gave you the impression that it would be updated?"

Ok, I´ll show you, quoting simMarket (the place I bought this scenery)

https://secure.simmarket.com/flightbeam ... -p3d.phtml

"KSFOHD is a completely new product, not an update to our previous KSFO. It's been re-created from scratch with all new development techniques to bring you one of the most immersive and detailed simulation airports ever made."

And the new gate numbering was implemented one year AGO. By the way, good to know the msfs is your priority now.

As I said: If I knew before...

Hi there,

KSFOHD is a product from 2015, and replaced our aging KSFO-X product from 2011, this is why in the product description it says it's a new product, and not an update for the older 2011 version.

Have some patience, we're planning a huge update for KSFO with gate numbers and the new terminal. There's no need to get so worked up.

PS: Yes, our priority now is MSFS, because that's where most customers have gone. However, we continue to bring products to P3D and major updates as well.

Good to hear that you are continuing with P3D. Many simmers have moved back after seeing it could be a year before we get a descent airliner to fly in MSFS. Don’t see the point of doing VFR into any of your airports.
Thanks for confirming though Mir.

Cheers
Miles
